Spark guides local facilitators to organize community meetings in which:



Spark then provides a small grant to invest in this proposal, ranging from $500 - $4000. With under $42,000 Spark MicroGrants has supported 16 MicroGrants.

Grant Amount: $3,500

Gisagara is an impoverished region in the south of Rwanda. In Ndatemwa Village, many make clay pots for a living, which provide little income and leave most food insecure. Working with Spark, the village has formed an association of 87 members and is currently drafting a grant proposal to solve the dire issue of food insecurity.
